Dreams

Everyone's got a money-no-object dream bike. Here are ours.

Alex: Cervélo R5ca. Handbuilt in the USA (in California, thus the "ca"), not in a mass production facility, but rather by Cervélo engineers who do this in their spare time. This bike serves to not only push the limits of design, but also the manufacturing process, to improve trickle down features seen in the rest of the bikes. VeloNews described the ride as "sublime." SRAM Red 2012, 3T finishing kit and Zipp 404 wheels would round out the frame for me (slightly different than below).

James: Look 695 (IPACK), Mondrian Color. This bike has the best paint scheme by a country mile. Love the Mondrian look (certainly pun intended). Ride is supposed to be silken.

Fraser: "De Rosa King RS (blue) frame and fork, Campagnolo Super Record Groupset, Campy bora ultra two rims, Chris King hubs and Headset, Ritchey WCS Carbon Monocurve bars/stem, Selle italia saddle probably, and of course nice tyres, pads and bartape, also Garmin vector pedals and a Garmin edge 800. that would do me nicely."

Enrique: Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL4 w/ SRAM Red, Zipp wheels. "Probably Contador's bike at the moment....nothing too exotic, but definitely reliable."

Jamie: "The Cinelli xcr with custom measurements, built with 11 speed super record, Cinelli RAM Bianca carbon finishing kit and Bora 2 wheels."
